Organic Memory Devices Using C60 and Insulating Polymer

چکیده
In this paper, we describe an all organic molecular memory device that combines the advantages of molecular and organic electronics. We accomplish this by combining C60 molecules with poly(4-vinylphenol) (PVP) and co-dissolving them in iso-propanol. The currentvoltage measurements show a large hysteresis in the blend devices, in contrast to pure PVP devices. The thin blend films have been thoroughly characterized using Raman spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.

Metallic and insulating states in two-dimensional C60-polymers
Variations in the band structures of the two-dimensional C60-polymers are studied, when π-conjugation conditions are changed. We investigate the rectangular and triangular polymers, in order to discuss metal-insulator transitions, using a semiempirical model with the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger type electronphonon interactions. We find that electronic structures change among directgap insulators and t...

Resistive switching properties of silver nanoparticles hosted in an insulating polymer matrix (poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) are reported. Planar devices structures using interdigitated gold electrodes were fabricated. These devices have on/off resistance ratio as high as 10 , retention times reaching to months and good endurance cycles. Temperature-dependent measurements show that the charge tra...

UNLABELLED Nano-floating gate memory devices (NFGM) using metal nanoparticles (NPs) covered with an insulating polymer have been considered as a promising electronic device for the next-generation nonvolatile organic memory applications NPs. However, the transparency of the device with metal NPs is restricted to 60~70% due to the light absorption in the visible region caused by the surface plas...
